INAUGURATION OF ATEWA TECHNICAL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE

INAUGURATION OF ATEWA TECHNICAL PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE

An all-inclusive technical decision making and process guiding committee; Atewa Project Implementation Committee, would be inaugurated by the Forestry Commission on Thursday,  July 14, 2016 at the East Akyem Municipal Assembly’s Conference room at 10:00am.

Among many site responsibilities, this committee will provide the technical decision making guide capacity for transforming Atewa Forest Reserve into a National Park and propose sustainable finance mechanisms for the Park and its environs.

This great milestone, marks the Forestry Commission’s commitment to the process of designating Atewa Forest Reserve as a National Park. The event would have representation from all stakeholders including the Chiefs and people of fringe communities around the reserve.
