Living Water from the Mountain: Protecting Atewa Water Resources is a project of A Rocha Ghana and the Netherlands Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, in partnership with IUCN Ghana, the Forestry Commission of Ghana and the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. This project builds on conservation gains achieved through A Rocha Ghana’s Atewa Critical Conservation Action Project (ACCAP Phase I) which was under the kind sponsorship of A. G. Leventis Foundation. The foundation has given further funding to support ACCAP Phase II, with a focus on conducting several detailed biological and forest carbon assessments.
